How to join contest design

I'm new here. I'd like to know how can I join the design contest. Coz, I just sign up here and can't join a contest yet..why ??
Anyone can help ?

If you look through the forums you will be surprised to know how many times this question has been answered... But to get to the question itself, yes, you need to be an Elite Designer. You might take a look at this page. And also see if there are any interesting links in the footer of the website.

Our records show that one or several of the requirements are missing:

* You don't have enough forum posts (minimum 10)
* you haven't been a registered member long enough (minimum 1 week)

I have already won a contest 3 years ago on this site.

You may try to revive your membership and apply for Elite Designers again, I believe there will be no problem, since you start good works here, but you should complete the requirements to be eligible. Illumina and sharie are currently handles the application process, you may contact them via PM.

the pumpkin contest is over and in voting mod. but you can enter the troll contest that is currently running.

Just upload the image (jpg file, size 640x480px) straight from your computer.

I don't think there is a rule about entering a Community contest. But there is on for participating in the "Paid" contests.

In order to participate to a paid contest you also need to have an online portofolio, at least 10 posts on the forum and a paypal account.
I hope that I will achieve all this in the next 10 days, because I found some interesting paid contests that I want to join.

As far as how hard it is to win.. I guess that depends upon your skills and how your able to satify the contest holder.

if you're referring to submitting to design contests, there are several open contests running right now, that all registered members can enter.

if you've participated in any of the other design contests sites out there, you've surely noticed the bickering, copying designs, use of clipart, and overall lack of professionalism to those other sites. This site is different, we are a community of designers that care about one another, care about good design, and aren't just here for a quick buck - we're here to learn and grow and maybe make a little extra money once in a while. The process that you have to go through to become an elite designer is well worth it. It takes time, yes, but if you genuinely want to be a part of this community, you'll be willing to put in the effort, and you'll be appreciated for it.
