The design entries are displayed in boxes.
Can someone explain to me what the meter at the bottom of the box is for?

Thanks.

i believe it shows contest holder's personal rating to each entry (if it's darker gray)
and if it's green..means that the contest holder marked the design as (needs work)..
"if u move ur mouse over one of this designs u will notice a little box says: needs work"

& in that case the designer with the (need work) design get 1 more chance to edit this design upon CH request.

* designer only can submit 3 entries to contests unless CH (contest holder) marked any entry(s) as "needs work"

ohh, I'm happy to see an explanation. I also questioned myself some days ago...what's the point with that green/grey bar.

Thanks angel:D

the bar beneath the entry (not only in community contest, but in professional logo contests as well) shows how the contest holder rates the entry on the scale from 1 to 100.

The problem is that in many contests the contest holders don't find it necessary to use this feature and do not give the ratings.

as like an angel mentioned if it is green it means that the contest holder requested a revision for this particular entry. The thing is that if the contest holder hasn't given the rating (hasn't moved the slider) the green won't show up. But you will see it anyway in the upload count - if he has requested a revision you will be able to upload one more design.

ok, I don't want to start another topic, but I have one more question. I saw an "X" mark , and a "G" mark logo at every professional contest title. I think it's marking the "guaranteed" and "non-guaranteed" terms; but what these terms really mean?. Means that if you win a "G" contest you can be 100% sure that you will have money, and the "X"..means "we don't now:cool:" ?:D.
I would appreciate if someone could illuminate me. Thanks and sorry for my English, guys :(

i think this is very much it :D:rolleyes: but if it's (G) or (x) AND GREEN that mean's it's for Elite desigers only to participate

if it's brown then it's for every one..i'm not sure about the rule of payment for the non-guaranteed contests..maybe one of DC mods/admins can explain that better than me

& this is the general information sub-forum so i think u are not in the wrong place to ask ur question..i think the whole thread realted to the community contest sub-forum though :D

Green + G = Elite Only, Payment guaranteed by DC
Green + X = Elite Only, Payment not guaranteed by DC
Gold + G = Open to all registered members, payment guaranteed by DC
Gold + X = Open to all registered members, payment not guaranteed by DC

When a contest is marked "X" and is not guaranteed by DC, then payment must be handled between the contest holder and the winner directly.

I am finding this forum much more helpful than I originally imagined! I am learning so much about this unique company and am thankful to do so! It's a shame not everyone uses the bar...

the bar beneath the entry (not only in community contest, but in professional logo contests as well) shows how the contest holder rates the entry on the scale from 1 to 100.

The problem is that in many contests the contest holders don't find it necessary to use this feature and do not give the ratings.

Thanks for clearing that up! Do you know how successful it has been for contest winners in regards to claiming their prizes in an un-guaranteed contest?

Green + G = Elite Only, Payment guaranteed by DC
Green + X = Elite Only, Payment not guaranteed by DC
Gold + G = Open to all registered members, payment guaranteed by DC
Gold + X = Open to all registered members, payment not guaranteed by DC

When a contest is marked "X" and is not guaranteed by DC, then payment must be handled between the contest holder and the winner directly.
