I was wondering

I was wondering why notji143 (notji143 - Designer Profile) reach the level 3 and having a rating points of 402 while few of her designs were rated How is it possible? Is it because of her forum posts?

Forum post brings 5 points, so you do the math.

While:
LEVEL 2 = 5 UPLOAD LIMITS - to get to level 3, you need 200 rating points and 3 forum posts

LEVEL 3 = 7 UPLOAD LIMITS - to get to level 4, you need 500 rating points and 5 forum posts

How is it possible? Is it because of her forum posts?

Because we give designers points for you activity in the forums. We want everyone to post. Posting keeps the community alive! You might find some new friends along the also!

I mean that posting should be free of points. we cannot progress without forum posts

Some might agree, but other folks'll see it different. It's good to have an incentive to post, and what better way than to earn points while you do it... take me for instance. This starting out stuff gives me few privileges, but since spending time at the forums dropping a comment or question here and there gives me points, not only will I go through it the motions to climb the ladder, but I'll be more aware of what's going on. Sure this is predominantly a place for art & design, but it's also been designed to encourage artists to come together.

Although someone such as yourself doesn't need the encouragement to contribute or read up on this forum stuff, someone else will. It's a full proof system (me thinks)... one I'm yet to learn more of...
