To make animation from text in Adobe Fireworks do the following:
1. From your Fireworks application, go to "File" -> "New" to create a new file. Set the options you want and click OK.
2. from the Tools panel select the "Text" tool and type in the text you want to animate.
3. Go to "Modify" -> "Animation" and select "Animate Selection".
4. Change the settings as you want and click "OK"
4. Click on the "Play/Stop" button below the stage to test the animation.
This allows for editing multiple instances of the text at once. Right-click the text layer and choose "Modify > Convert to Symbol" (or press F8). Name it appropriately (e.g., "animatedText").
