DesignContest.net launches a logo inspiration and portfolio hosting website.

Posted Image

You will be able to find all the cool logos that have been recently designed in the world and submit your own logos. The best designs will be featured on the frontpage. You can submit logos that you have designed yourself and logos that you liked done by other designers (providing you give credit and submit link to the designer's website).

You can also use designed.nu as a place to host you logo portfolio. it is free and the link is easy to remember - just your username after designed.nu/ For example, my portfolio there is
designed.nu/sergey

Nice! congratulations!
I have just one suggestion on the site Sergey, what about showing the author instead of the publisher/uploader? ... current way tends to confuse a little bit ... it seems logos have been designed/created by the person to the left. Maybe if you show the uploader in a "more info" or in the popup window not in thumbnail.
What do you think?
Regards,

Thanks, guys! I am looking forward to seeing your logos on designed.nu!

jjyepez, the idea is that as the site grows more popular it is mainly the designers who will submit their logos. So the left link will lead to their portfolio (or profile, whatever you call it) on designed.nu and the right to their personal/company website.

Gabber, yeah, the links are different for everyone, but it is strange, because I get mainly ads in graphic design field.

My post earlier was a (poor) metaphor

I find that the box with the ads "cheapens" and interact with all the logo around it. Its disguised has content, which is never a good idea in my opinion. But maybe its just me.

I you must have them on the site may i suggest you put them on top or on the right?

advertising is always ugly, but that's what pays for website's hosting.

Hello Sergey,
I have just registered at designed.nu, it's nice, I'm starting to submit logos but .. I'm a little bit confused about I can't edit entries after uploading them, is there any how to update either the image or the info posted?
Thanks in advance for your comments.

nice feature for DC - to have this space solely for the works of DC designers to show our designs as well as the designs that we like!

just a tiny question, is there a feature were one can see a list of designers that have set-up their portfolio? a link that presents those DC-designers that have set-up their designed.nu portfolio?

yeah, but so far there aren't too many designers from DC :(

new features are coming and you will definitely find a list of designers and other cull stuff - like sorting logos by industry, rating and such.
