There will now be NO rules about backgrounds in logo contests. All backgrounds are allowed in logo contests, this includes mockups in logo contests

ALL backgrounds are now allowed in logo contests

i'm thinking it should have been there before, because i've been infracted by that, haha.
that's nice, i've seen some of them doing it, they look great in presentations, that helps a lot.
but i don't have those good textured backgrounds, haha. i wish :D

thank you sharie, good decision :)

@ friendnand, just use google, loads for free out there on the web. Google free mock ups for photoshop, or look up textured wallpapers, dark backgrounds. Good luck : ) Liz

You are welcome, as long as they are used just for mock ups on here to show the CH what something could look like. But in the end the only thing that counts is your winning vector. I paid for 1 months membership to a site, which was only about 10 dollars, then I downloaded everything I needed that month. Pixieden have a lot of free mockups too. If you want the premium ones you have to pay, but the free ones are very good too. Good luck, Liz

I think that is a plus, and really highlight the work mockups. But it has a downside, we will certainly provide the contest holder one panoply of solutions varied and scattered and confused. I realize this liberal rule, but also think that the backgrounds should have rules such as: size of the main logo, the color of the background and defined spaces for mockups and variants of color logo (white, black or dark backgrounds). It's my opinion. Above all, I think that is a plus. Remember this, sometimes a bad background can eliminate a good job. I hope you learn to use the backgrounds. Very useful this post Thanks Sharie.
