Here’s the new Community Contest! The Raven..

Keyword: The Raven

Mission: Feel free to make a sketch/illustration of anything related with a Raven at all.

Max. # of entries: 3 per member

Limitations: Please keep the width of your sketch/illustration max 600 px.

Deadline: October 21th, 2006

Prizes:

Winner will get a DC T-shirt with free worldwide delivery shipping.

Winner will also have the right to be voted in our monthly Community Contest Winners Poll. He who gets the most votes will be awarded with eternal honour and fame and most importantly $ 100.

If you win three Community Contests you will be accepted to the Design Team directly.

I love Edgar Allan Poe! - this will really be fun! Very cool new contest!

I remember the story but not any of the illustrations of it - I'm going to try not and look at any of them and go by what I see by Poe's writing. I think it will make it more interesting for myself, also so it's totally original.

yes, that is correct. If you want to be a bit more advanced with it, scan the image and color it in photoshop or illustrator (use livetrace to make it vector) as a sketch. Those look pretty nice.

Okay here is my second one - its kinda big and its a gif so I'll just post the link - its kind of an animated site looking thing that maybe you would see on a movie lol took me forever! Its a swf file so it shouldnt take that long to load.

( 600x666 okay? ) - I hope that the swf version works for you all! looks better with an all black background - wouldn't look right any smaller

In this contest, we are after a drawing or an illustration, you can draw and /or illustrate it in any program you'd like..You can also draw it on paper, just scan and send it.
