Converting .fla/.swf -> .flv for Dreamweaver

I'm attempting to put a flash video onto a Dreamweaver document. When doing the research, I'm informed that it must be converted to a .flv filetype. After much reading, I see that this is no easy task, to my knowledge. What's the best way to do this, converting a .fla/.swf -> .flv filetype?

The best method I read was downloading SoThink's SWF Decompiler, then exporting resources. This will give me a video file type. Afterwards, downloading CinemaForge and uploading to a .flv, which sounds a bit much. After attempting, I had no luck. Clear this up for me, please?

Hi emoryarts. You can actually just put the .swf straight onto the web page. That's sort of the idea of the SWF format You'll need to insert a new <object></object> into your HTML. Within that object tag, you will have to specify the file name (e.g., example.swf) and you may also need to set a few other attributes like width and height. After that, the SWF will play inside the web page using the Flash Player plug-in of your browser.

Here's a site that will help more than I can here:

I appreciate it. I'll give it a try on Monday and let you know the outcome, the current files are on my work PC. I thought that it might but the book I was using as a reference said that it wouldn't work like that. Guess I'll have to try it and if it is successful, send that guy a nice detailed email.

Flash is easy to incorperate in HTML when you export it from flash you can export HTML which also automaticly make a HTML with the codes you can copy and past into a new HTML or you can edit that HTML. However to make cool websites nowadays you have HTML inside flash which is another cool option to design a website.

I recommend moyea swf to video converter, with which you can convert online swf url and offline swf files to all kinds of video formats including flv, I'm sure this will solve your problem.
