    Moving Wallpaper? Possible to make?

I thought that I could make a simple .gif and apply it as the background image, but it didn't work; atleast not for Vista.

Is there a certain process/program I could use in order to take my own image creations, apply them together, and have it working as my desktop background?

I honestly didn't know that was possible. I mean, I would imagine it would have to be a GIF of sufficient size and whatnot.

May I ask if this was something you made? And if so, what process did you use? Do you operate Vista?

Figured. Perhaps I could download the official Microsoft XP theme for Vista and, with a miracle, it might work?

Anyone else know how to make it work for Vista?

if the animated gif wallpaper doesnt animate or move..
suggest you right click your desktop... look for active desktop.. then click show web content.

Your answer to animated desktops for Vista is not .gif, it is Windows DreamScene.

Windows DreamScene allows you to play high-definition videos as your desktop wallpaper. Microsoft say that this will not slow down your Windows but DreamScene might use 5%, 10%, and up to 15% of your CPU. They even made a new animated wallpaper format: .DREAM but Windows DreamScene can also play .MPEG or .WMV files.

You can search around and find many programs that can help you animate a static scene. You can use DreamMaker which is free for Windows Vista Ultimate. You may also try Nature Illusion Studio.
