Which one was created first? And in all honesty, the Obama logo isn't all that unique....there are tons of logos out there that have some of the same elements....

This website is from 2007 but don't know if they change the logo somewhere though. But the main element of the obama logo are there.

No doubt they are there...but you must admit that there are plenty of other ones that also contain these elements....wish I could find some (lol)!

Ehm, Light CMS...? That I just don't buy. The mere idea of light coming from beyond a hill inside a circle doesn't make it an obama rip-off. There's some room to play with there (imo).

Yea the first one looks very similar indeed. Anyone find out if they are affiliated with the Obama campaign or not? As for the LightCMS I think it's fine, not too similar. Can't call that one a rip-off.

Here's the problem that I find with copyrighting or duplicating someone else's work: there are very few original designs anymore. Almost everything out there has been done previously in some way, shape or form. Changing a few design elements doesn't truly make it unique. Very rarely today do you come across something, that with a lil research, doesn't show up some how previously.
