    What Program?

Hey Guys. Sorry if this has already been covered, I was just wondering if most of you guys use Illustrator. I use Inkscape, but have used Illustrator before (30 day trial). I know it's odd, but I find Inkscape easier to work with. Does anyone else use Inkscape?

Illustrator seems to be the 'industry standard'...most use, and clients/printers request. Any vector program is good for logo design, and if you prefer inkscape, then thats whats most important, what the designer feels best working in. I studied freehand before illustrator, once I studied illustrator, I switched.(Its great to go between illustrator, photoshop, indesign, seamlessly, drag n drop)

If I could get Illustrator, I would probably use it. But Inkscape works for now.

If you can tell me what version you are using I can give you a working serial number to activate it.

I would like to wait and here from someone with more experience, and if they think that is a good idea.

I'm only 13 and don't have that kind of money. It's like 500 dollars.

The student discount says you have to be enrolled in university or college.

Oh, wait, it says I can buy it for 200$ as a k-12 student. I think I might look into that. Thanks!

Hello, I use only Illustrator and I haven't tried ant other program because I feel this one is the best in the industry. Just because I find many posibilities and the ease of use.

I also really enjoy Illustrator. In it's category, it's the main program taught at the Art Institute of Colorado, where I attend.

    Go with Adobe Products

You can't go wrong with the Creative Suite Bundle if you would like to start designing for global clients. Once you make the investment the upgrades are more reasonable. Plus everything flows from Photoshop Illustrator InDesign Dreamweaver and to press nicely.

I generally use Corel Draw to start things off, because I used it before Illustrator, and I'm more comfortable with the tools. After that I import the design in Illustrator and from there the possibilities are almost endless.
