    Illustrator / Design question

So, i've been trying to figure this out all night.. I've looked for tutorials. I've searched and searched and have found nothing.
I'm wondering how to do this, I'm not sure if it's transform tool, 3D tool or what.. But its bugging the sh*t out of me.. somebody please point me in the right direction.
This is not my design.. I feel like he's using the 3D tool but then again.. I really dont know.
    Thanks for advice/help

Totally done in Illustrator , should not even be hard to reproduce. Just use the pen tool to draw it and use your eye to align things. This is not even something hard, just learn to use the pen tool and draw things and later you can also draw even more difficult things than this.

Yeah it looks like a pen job. Once you apply the subtle gradients, you'll have your 3D effect.

hmm.. I see, I thought there was a quicker 2-3 step process to doing this.. With warp or something. I knew that the pen tool could do it, I just didn't want to be spending any more time than I needed to doing this.

Just wanted to see if there was a shortcut.
    Thanks

Sometimes you have to put the work in to get the results you want.

agree with everyone above. It's not difficult and really shouldn't take much time to reproduce at all. You could also use your ellispe(sp) tool to get the right curve and just cut it up.

Honestly once you get the tool down using it to re-create something like that will hardly feel like a burden. It'll be done in no time.
