Inspiration moments

Hello ^^

I believe most of us spend a lot of time Re-building their portfolio even re-design their web portfolio website hundred times. why its always about profits lol, when I design a project for a customer for so reason I get inspiration, but for my own projects (my portfolio) I got nothing inspiration.. Why is that? lol

Also, when I'm at Office, I don’t get much inspiration, although I got inspired when I work from home, before I sleep I read my work emails and finish the unfinished tasks ,and guess w00t, 1 hours at home equal 6 hours at work.. lol no kidding.. That how it goes with me.

Its really a hard equation if I don’t go to office, probably I won’t do work tasks and it will end playing all the day (0 work) lol so I have to wake up every day jumping to the office and spend 8 hours which i can finish all my takes from home for only 2 hours instead. DAMT

The real weirdo thing happen to me, is I got inspired when I’m really angry (Back off) ... Idea's show up like magic, maybe anger show some inspiration different than being a happy while I do a design lol I have no idea

Amr, I was at a festival recently, and there was a man there, that for $5 would insult you or your friends... maybe you could hire one of these guys for when you need inspiration!

I wish I had a magic inspiration wand... sometimes, when I'm working on a logo for instance, the design seems to just happen easily, and other times I type out the logo name and stare at it. walk away, stare at it some more... and so on...

I seem to work best under tight deadlines, though. If I have plenty of time to do something, I end up staring at it. HAHA.

cool post. I'm interested to see how others get inspired, too!

That's because we are our worst clients xD


well... there's nothing like.... SHOWER =D... it's weird, I can sit for hours in front of the computer or paper, drawin', erasing, vectorizing, erasing.. and I just say "what the hell u.u I'm going to rest".. so I take a shower before... and ta daaaa (8) magically the idea came to my mind.

Someone once told me that you can not expect different ideas from the same place, that you should go out with your notebook and see the out-side world instead the same 4 walls... that also works very fine =D

I don't really know where most of my inspiration comes from....
It really comes from me setting a pencil to paper, getting about 20 sketches deep and then sort of an ADHD coming over me while I start to add the most random things that I can remember from anytime throughout my life. I don't know.... I just sort of get inspired by life? Even though that sounds 10 times tackier than its written.

We got inspired by people effecting us! if you live in an island alone, you will do the same routine things.. Nothing really change!

People effect us so easily.. they get u Mad! They get u laugh even they get you inspired... A very Social people are less inspired... they talk a lot and they lose the moment of Inspiration.

I get my insparation from everywhere. a tree branch that is a bit out of place, doodling lines and circles just to see an image that was never there. example - example - example - example
I also get alot of insparation from my kids. If I'm blocked I'll sit and draw with them they don't care how wavy the lines are or unbalanced the object is that they are trying to draw they just draw it and for a moment I'll get a creative idea based off of a line or out of line coloring page. Also the things they do or say can inspire me to draw something different or even if they ask me to draw them something.

I'd say my wife also inspires me. She is the talker in our relationship and when she's talking I'll get an image in my mind and sketch it out later.

sometimes I'll just close my eyes and rub them really hard and see white splotches and lines. LOL it doesn't happen all that much but it's happened before.

my view to every thing around me changed after i started designing , i see things i didn`t see before i see every thing with different eyes i got my inspiration from the TV , street , curtains even my son toys .
But the most important moment of inspiration when I go to sleep and close my eyes many many ideas come to my mind specially if there is a design i didn`t complete and some times i get up and complete my design this is the only way to make my mind stop thinking and fall asleep .

wow guys, Thats so awesome to hear everybody's thought, Be aware! a moment of inspiration in some companies worth a million! xD

Sometimes When I have like alot of tasks being under compression and things should be done I lose focus, I got inspired to do something else like for example, i have a website and a brochure to do! but there is not enough time to finish em both at the time, for some reason i feel like i need a break to do something else just how i did with design concept theme trial. Then after that u feel a little bit focused and hungry to do the unfinished Tasks. xD

We all both Professional and newbies, Sometimes we create a very bad design, And when we check it again we say "Did I just do that!!!" then we get to fix it & enhance it!

Distraction things while designing will be my next Topic to discuss xD
