    CS5 and Education Discount

I'm graduating college in December, so I should have the opportunity to buy the education version of CS5 before then. Are there any limitations on the educational version compared to the full version? Its just so much cheaper!

I would double check with Adobe/site, but if my brain serves me well, I believe that the educational versions aren't meant to be used to do graphic design work for clients on it. I guess it's just for educational purposes haha.

So in other words, you'll own the program, but won't be legally allowed to create products for your customers with it.

But I may be completely wrong, I know some stores give crazy discounts to students for the real program haha

Well I'm not too concerned with the legality of creating work for clients with it, I doubt I'll be doing anything that large, was just wondering if there were any features that aren't included in the educational version

I believe it is absolutely the same concerning the features.
That's true, it is much cheaper than the normal version, but the people at Adobe probably understand that not many students can really pay that much for software.

Sergey's right. no difference in the features between the regular and education discount version. Now it varies between packages (standard, premium, etc.) so just be sure you are purchasing the right one for your needs

CS5 is supposed to do some awesome stuff. Besides I'm a firm believer in if you're going to spend so much anyways on the software, might as well go ahead and spend the extra $$ to get the latest version. Just my opinion atleast.

Educational version is same as complete version only thing is that startup you see it say educational license. However you still can deliver the files to any printer and clients its no problem.

The best way to startup is buy an educational version and later when they release a new version, buy the upgrade package of full version which is cheaper than buying whole new package/ suit.
