I thought it might be a cool idea to post your favorite logos here. Im sure this is not an original thread but hopefully interesting to see what logos really stick out in peoples minds.
I love the Staples logo
notice the "L" is an open staple
everyone has their own taste, but everyone can agree a logo is effective when it portrays the style, mood, and color of the company or product, its not all about technical attributes of the design but the brand behind it....which is why this is my favorite logo
I totally agree with you on that choice, but i am a sucker for the classic designs. If you notice alot of your more modern designs eventually get bought out and become just another identity under some boring corporate umbrella.
This logo is old but I like it very much.
This logo is for Chinese restaurant called "Hamamura" in Japan.
It's very famous in Kansai area in Japan.
You can see 4 red letters: ハ(Ha), マ(Ma), ム(Mu) and ラ(Ra)
Kerning of those letters is perfect I think.
Also those 4 letters in black make themselves a face of Chinese guy.
He wears a mustache on his upper lip.
He looks satisfied and happy.
i'd say the logo i like the most is the lucky strike logo improved by raymond loewy. The color rapport is just great and the simple font also couldn't have been better chosen.
I don't think I have a favorite famous logo, because there are too many good ones. But this would be one of my favorites... and I'm not biased or anything.
Pac-Man in the LG logo, your right does resemble it thats a new one to me never thought that before.
ハ(Ha), マ(Ma), ム(Mu) and ラ(Ra)
Thanks for sharing this one. I love incorporating text into the design, cool to see popular logos from other countries too.
I get the Firefox logo but it wouldnt be my choice. Its cute and the tail blends into fire well and I get that it is worldwide but its off-putting that it is fire around the earth. I think even if someone doesnt read ito it as much as I did they might sence even in a glance that it is unpleasing, dont know maybe im crazy.
