    Wacom bamboo

Hi guys! I just got a wacom bamboo pen and touch tablet, and pen pressure doesn't work in photoshop cs4 and i also cannot use the eraser, it draws lines. Any ideas?

You can set the opacity and other properties of a brush to be controlled by the pen pressure from the brush options.
About the eraser end, i don't know.. i have a bamboo and use it in cs4 and it works ok

Would you recommend the bamboo tablet? I am about to buy a tablet and don't want to buy the wrong one! Thanks in advance...

I recommend the bamboo as the cheapest way to get in to tablets. The low price doesn't mean low quality, the performances are pretty good, if you don't use it professionally the bamboo it's a great choice. There are many artists who use a bamboo for their "on the move setup", for laptops, given the small size.

Make sure you get the matching format for your display (if you have a wide display, get a wide tablet).

I use the tablet mainly for drawing, for more technical design i use the mouse/keyboard - but that is just a habit.

Thank you so much for your information. I don't do extensive drawing but especially with logo design sometimes I need to draw sometimes. I do have a wide screen Mac, so would you say that the bamboo is too small for that?

I work on a 22'' display and i dont find the bamboo small. I understand that artist trained in using traditional medium are requiring more tablet size as they are used to paint/draw with larger strokes.

I just went ahead and bought the Bamboo tablet. I don't think I need all the bells and whistles (or the price tag!)

    Thanks again!
