    Job interviews

Ive got an interview on Friday for a sign company
and it should be interesting cos I will be asked to design a something graphical in 2 hours based on a brief and there is about 15 designers going for the same job.
I am not too worried I have got some experience working in a sign company but i have never had to print out the design just design it. It has been a while since I used illustrator.

Why is it that when you do a couple of designs in illustrator you save it as a eps to import it in to photoshop to do a shear maniplulation in photoshop but when you import it back into illustraor it groups all of your designs and cannot seperate each of your designs from the group?? I thought illustrtor was a vector based program like flash yet it doesnt seem so flexible.

You answered it above. when you imported the eps into photoshop, it rasterizes the eps file. This makes it a bitmap file and no longer vector. so when you opened that file again in illustrator it was already converted.

    Vectorizing it

Sorry for posting this so long after your job interview, but I just became a member.
When you bring it back into Illustrator, Illustrator has a great tool to vectorize bitmaps by tracing it.
If you still would like details post and I will respond back to this thread.
