I have created this thread to share each other experience of our studies in different countries. What difficulties you have to deal with? What is good about design studies? How universities and colleges help you to create future perspectives for work? What overall situation of design is in your country?

For example.: I live in humanus post sovieticus country...One year more and I will be graduated as Art and Design bachelor and you wouldn't believe if I tell you how much dirt I will need to dig off if I want to work as a normal self respecting designer Except you are too from post sovieticus Anyway, I love my country, just that government...

I'm from Portugal and I study Product's Design at Viana do Castelo's Polytechnic Institute.
I really like what I'm studying and i learn a lot!
I'm just in the first year but it seems that this has a pretty good future, considering the time of crisis that we all are. Probably it will be hard to find a job in this area, but I'll try my best to work in what I like
