    RGB for web logo's

I wonder does any of you make the logo for web in RGB instead of CYMK?

Cause for me I just start CYMK directly cause I like the way how to choose the colors and especially easier to choose nice colors than the RGB pallet. Mostly afterwards make an rgb version the easy way by converting the colors to RGB and mostly keep the nice colors.

I usually make the logos in RGB format in Illustrator. Only when client wants the logo in CMYK I convert it to this mode.

I like CYMK because I find myself changing the shades of black more often then needing to change red, green, or blue. I mean obviously you can do that in RGB but in CYMK you only need to mess with one slider.

I agree with that CMYK is way easier to get a certain color also you mainly know it is possible to print.

Start out with RGB if you want the logo to be displayed on screens/monitors...and you can always convert them to CMYK if you want them to be printed.

Always use the CMYK color model for anything that is going to be printed. Every printer prints using cyan, magenta, yellow, and black.

Always use RGB when designing for the web. Monitors display millions of red, green, and blue dots. The colors turn on and off to make your image on screen. That's why web colors are more limited than the CYMK model.

You can't ever convert one to the other without getting some color distortion. If you want the best looking end product start with the correct color model.

It's a fundamental principle in the design world.

I always begin with a RGB document actually, maybe because almost all my logos are meant for web and video, but i think the brighter RGB colors are easier to work with.
