    Mac vs PC

OK, I know this has been done a million times before, but given that Mac and PC share a lot of commonalities these days, which do you think is better and why? (Don't get too excited though!)

Hi, I'm not sure coz I'm not using a Mac, but if I'm not mistaken, Mac nowadays, are more and more closer with linux, and I'm using Linux. I think Mac is better in a matter of capabilities, but for portability issue, maybe PC is better.

As a Mac user since the mid eighties, and the fact that Macs have been the graphics and printing industry standard of choice seemingly since day one, I’d say go with Apple. But since the debut of OSX (and when Macs switched from Motorola to Intel-based processors, you now have to factor-in price, processing power, software availability, hardware and operating system stability. Macs are way too spendy compared to PC’s. And a quick scan on eBay will tell you that a lot of Mac models are hardware problematic. Parts and labor are still proprietary and expensive. PC’s are more owner-customizable, less expensive and have the processing power to compete with the Mac when it comes to big number crunching for audio, video, hi-res graphics, communication networks and the like. And any software released by the bigger companies - including high-end graphics programs - are available for both platforms. So basically it all comes down to price, the operating system you are more familiar with using on a day-to-day basis, and, of course, customer service.

I love my Mac, and as a graphic designer, will probably always use one, but I have nothing negative to say against today’s PC’s and the latest windows OS.

    Hope that helps!

i really prefer PC to Mac just because the Mac is more expensive than PC. If i need to change a motherboard, graphic card ou hdd that will cost me 2 or 3 times lower than Mac.
correct me if im wrong guys.

I prefer a PC for Mac, as well as more compatible with various software and because I believe that Mac is more expensive.

I use and prefer PC.. I have used Macs too, but PC whit Win7 seems to be much easier, customizable and faster (for mac's price you can buy PC that is much faster and better in other specs than mac)

I'm using both, Mac is definitely better, once you get used to it.
But it's more expensive also ...
