Freelancers: How many hours you work each day?
Hi, as the title, I just want to know how many yours you work as freelancer each day. Do you work on weekend also or not? Does your famlily (if you have) had problem with that?
Most of the time I worked more than 12 hours a day. And sometime I worked on weekend also. And my wife started to questioning me bout that.

i have a part time job within the web design area, and during my idle times at the office, i use to work with freelances. when its a week that is full of work, i end up working during the weekend.
i'd say i work about 12 hours a week, but thats because i dont have much clients.

I work about 8 hours a day at my regular job, and spend another 5 to 6 hours a night doing side projects, including school. I try to relax on Sundays, but spend most of Saturday working, too.
My family doesn't seem too bothered by it all, but I think I'm losing my mind!

I work 7 days a week, mostly all day with the exception of taking care of nature, sleeping and the occassional night out with the friends. I am an empty nester and single again; moved out of the country and therefore have plenty of time on my hands and nobody to worry about. Now, that doesn't mean I am doing graphics all day long...I do alot of research, reading and try to improve on skillset and continue learning...

3 - 5 hours a day,and I think that's enough

I also work 8 hours a day in my pre-press and design job at a newspaper.
Then will work about 2 hours a night at home for myself.
Will also spend an hour or two learning about my craft. Via the internet, books or monthly magazine.
On the weekend i'll just work when I please. Or whenever I get an idea.

I guess it mostly depends on when the clients deadline is. I will work as long as it takes to get them their finished product so they are happy.
But it is usually around 6-7 hours of work a day of work and I usually research and learn for 2-3 of those hours. Sometimes I will work on Sunday.

I'm in between jobs right now, and I want to get started in freelance. So I spend a couple of hours researching, a few of hours on either Photoshop and/or Illustrator, and a couple of hours sketching and painting (old school). I little breaks inbetween, cause staring at a project too long will play tricks with your mind.

I work around 12+ hours each day ... this is my full time job at the moment. I am single and have a handicap son living with me. (Thank god I have a caregiver for him, who is wonderful)
I work seven days a week.. I have very little off time. Got to pay the bills somehow...
I do take some time once in a while for family events out of town and maybe a day once every two weeks for a boyfriend. I am much older than most of you guys on here so my partying days are over. But at this moment in my life this is the hardest I have had to work...

Well, I have a permanent job, but I would give time for myself in doing freelancing jobs about an hr or 2 on weekdays and some weekends I'm packed with it

I work full time online... on this new kind of working design Era. Long days and nights seeking for a good idea to work with to help me out.
