    This are the specs for the iMac, as u can see u can use them too for professional use, just you get less expandibility, but don't think in a "PC way": u will not need to expand much for at least 4-5 years, because lifespan of Macs is LONGER (u can believe me or not :P )

    6MB shared L2 cache at full processor speed

    I have a PC but i work with macs at school I gotta say if you do design you should probably invest in a mac.

    yeah your telling me. i am a firm believer in external drives and BACKING UP ALL OVER YOUR WORK since I have owned a PC and have been involved in design.

    With regard to the opinion that Mac is safer than a PC for not losing work, this is of course true, but only when a PC isn't treated with respect.

    For example, alot of the software available for Windows and Linux is more open ended and numerous as well as the OS's themselves. I enjoy using a PC because I like to enjoy everything computing has to offer, and feel like I'm being kept in a box when I use a Mac.

    That being said, a well cared for PC shouldn't actually give you any more problems.

    That's a thing from the past, don't you know? I usually use Pc or Mac because I have Pc in one city and Mac in other and I travel regurally from one to another. So, I do the same things in one system and the other.
    PC is cheaper, customizable and you can do the same things without problem.
