How many of you work full time as a designer? Or base your income only on designing? Just curious to see how many of you are out there
And also, for those of you who design as a hobby or part time, what main-occupation do you have? I am interested as I am currently in the midst of finding what to study in college. Thanks in advance!

I work full time as a freelance creative.

I *have* worked as a full-time designer (focusing mainly on web design), but right now I am a full-time student (learning more about the print side of things).

There is tons of work available in this field, especially if you are good at it.

I am a full-time freelance designer, but since moving to our new location I had been getting more into decorative painting in residential homes. Now that i'm 7 months pregnant, i'm focusing more on graphic design once again as I can't be around the paint fumes anymore. So guess that means that i'm soon to be a full-time Mom, and p/t designer Good luck!

Thats awesome that so many of you are working as professional designers. I would love to pursue that later in my education. I'm only 16 :-P but any information/comments about your jobs (ie: dislikes, likes) would be super if you could share them.

I'm just a student..by the way, i'm 16 too ...just designing as a Hobby for now, but planning to make it my profession...dont know if u call it a freelancing or not, but i'm entering in competitions like here for quite sometime ...and actually won some too..
