ScreenPrinting Help (worth it?)

I'm not sure where to post this but I think this is as best as I can do.

I'm looking to make a few shirts myself...instead of going 3rd party. I just want to do some quick designs to see how it works. 2, maybe even 3 colors tops. I found this online...to anyone that knows anything about screen printing...could you tell me if it works?

Hey Seven,

I did screen printing a few years ago in High School, and I remember using this green film that was light sensitive. It worked fairly well, and it stuck to the silk screen just by spraying it with water.

You might need to get a very bright light for this to work really well, or at least make sure its a VERY sunny day.

I just took a closer look - and I noticed this doesn't actually stick to a silk screen. I don't know how well that will work.

I see, well from what I take it...once the film peels off to make your stencil, they're showing the stencil placed directly on the shirt, then squeeged...that can't be right could it?
