myspace is 20/80. 80% of peole there wont care but that 20, if you can find them, is good free promo. craigslist is ok but flooded slightly. word of mouth has been what gets me new work, and when have extra time try sites like this.

You must shown your work everywhere, forums, contests, own portfolio and so on, because it's really hard to get a freelance job.

I think word of mouth is the produces the best outcomes for myself, otherwise knows as networking. My gf is in PR, so i get alot of clients from here, and my buddy is in marketing, so i get alot of work form him, and then those people tell people. Or someone sees their work and then thehy need something.

Besides word of mouth, u use crags list, but havent got nearly as many clients out of that as i do from my own networking

yes word of mouth is the best, its just hard to get the first few clients to get the ball rolling, (im going through that atm), im also getting back into this forum i kinda disappeared for a year or so because of life circumstances, i find this place helps to get you networking options.
