    Help! Vector graphics from Photoshop?

Hello, i have a doubt, i use Photoshop all time and i never used Adobe Illustrator yet, just want to know if there exists the possibility of transforming a PSD into vector, or export it to AI and then transform it into vector.
    Thanx!!!

Yes and no i think would be the answer. Really depends on what you did in Photoshop - PS has some limited vector capabilities, but isn't really intended for Vector art. You can always use the trace function in illustrator, but for optimal results i would recommend redoing it all over in illustrator.

Alternatively you should have a look at a program called Xara Xtreme 3.0 - its fast and neat little program which has most of the capabilities of Illustrator, but a lot easier to get started with. Newest version even allows you to save directly to .psd format.

no matter whatever you do, photoshop is a raster based programme. If you want vector design output i will suggest you to use Illustrator or coreldraw.

It's a lot easier to turn a vector into a raster than vice-versa. The live trace option will sometimes give acceptable results, but PDL is right... it's probably best to just re-do it in Illustrator. To go from Illustrator to Photoshop, all you have to do is copy and paste as pixels. I wish it were so easy both ways!
