personal work in your portfolio?
Hey here is something to ponder. How do you guys feel about putting personal work in your portfolio? Personal works i mean personal art, awesome tutorials you accomplished, anything not business related. I would like to get your thoughts on how you feel about this.
My first instinct is absolutly not. Infact i do not have any personal work in my portfolio. Although after thinking about it for a while, i think if you have created a great piece of art, or work and that can show off some hidden skills that arnt reflected in your typical work (logos, brochures, websites, etc...) it may not be a bad idea after all?
Whats everyones take on this?

well...personal or for client, DOES NOT matter, what ever shows you off, your work, thats what matters
...so I'd say no matter what it was for, put your best foot forward(alot of my experiments in design, end up in my portfolio, they are totally free, no constraint to show off, shine, and extend my capabilities as a designer)

I agree
The client needs to be able to see how versitle your work is. Clients prefer a certain look, but not all clients prefer the same look. So I think it is a wise decision to show off personal work. There might just be an element of one of your personal pieces that a client might find interesting or what they are looking for.

I think show your best in portofolio. So if you have something that is not bussines related. And its looking great show it. Because so you will show to the client that you have some creativity and some skills.
