I use a Trust A4 tablet. It is not as good as wacom, but considering the price difference I am quite happy with it![]()

If price is an issue, Wacom have a new product called the Bamboo.
Over here in England you can pick it up around the £70 mark. The spec looks very similar to the the Graphire range but it does look really nice. Of course this is a consumer product. If you are a professional then you really have to be looking at the Intuos 3 range.
As for size, I'd say it depends on your monitor setup. Wacom have widescreen options on their tablets as well. I'd say, as a very rough guide, 20" or below get the A5/A5Wide, 20-24" get the A4 Wide. Anything above a 24" monitor you have too much money so you might as well buy a Cintiq.
Of course this is my personal preference and whatever you are comfortable with should be fine. Definately go for the Intuos 3 I'd say!
I am using Genius Mouse Pen, It's not "wacom" anyway.. but I am preety enjoy use this one

Wacom Graphire 3 nice thing with erase and double click buttons. And also a mouse.
To bad I never saw the white version, cause i bought the blue one.
But now I got the ultimate tablet. A tablet PC HP TC4200
It uses Wacom drivers for the pen movements and its very good. Just updated to 2gig ram and now is super fast hehe.![]()
I envy you so much!Originally Posted by Chung Dha

Chung Dha - I so almost got that HP laptop. Ended up going with a Macbook with dual Mac/Windows XP OS with VMWare, but I was really stuck between the two for a very long time. I think it was my apprehension of Vista that finally swayed me. Still might get the HP later on down the line, though. Glad to hear it works well!
I still work with XP. I think I will wait a while till I would use Vista. Still not sure if its safe. Also waiting tablet Mac. The technology is up and can be added to there macs. But still I think Macs are way to expensive compared to pc of other brands.
Otherwise if you got a hard screen you can buy a navisis to change your screen to a tablet screen. The price is pretty good not too expensive. I was planning to buy one though.

Only not sure if it works with Mac os.
Hey guys, any one ever using wacom cintiq?
please share your experiences (I really want it ..but for US $1,566 do u think its still reasonable..)

I never used it. Haven't even seen in person, but I believe it is a handy toy if you are into digital painting/illustration.Originally Posted by bakhtiar_zein

I got the wacom (or "Wakk'em" as my fiancee's little sisters call it) Graphire4. I actually don't use it much yet for logo design, as I mainly got it for a new hobby i've picked up called Virtual Oil Painting (pen tablet's a must for it) I'll post some "paintings" once and if I ever complete any.
Cintiq is really too expensive same money can buy a tablet pc self. Better buy navisis EZ canvas to change a normal screen to a tablet screen.
The Ez canvas cost 150 euro 10 times less then that cintiq. And buy a big 19inch screen for it and it still cost less then the cintiq.
Check info here.

I draw logos with my hand. Scan it. Vectorise it. Play with it and rolls out a logo. Lot of work but I love it. BTW I would really love to get my hands on a graphic tablet one day![]()
dumbdesigner aka electroskan.com
PORTFOLIO
Yeah, I'm looking forward to buy one of those, my friend got one and we got some big wacom tablets at school but there's nothing like having one of 'em at home
I do the same as dumbdesigner, sketch it at hand then scan it and vectorize it, but I bet it's fun to do it directly to the computer
Using pressure sensitive driver feels like drawing on a paper. Cause it also depends on how hard you press it. Really cool my tabletpc with wacom driver.
check www.navisis.com They got very special tablets. Even one you draw directly on paper and it also make a sketch on the screen![]()
other one is you don't have to stick with the pad where you write or draw.

navisis.. what a really cooL thing..![]()
i'm ordering my wacom 3.. never used any of those..
wanna try how it feels..![]()
Good luck with your new Wacom! I actually had a Wacom pad about eight years ago, give or take, but I couldn't get used to the way my hand motions on the board would translate to output on the screen. The results were pretty awful, and that's keeping in mind that I'm a graphite artist first and a designer second. It's as though my brain couldn't tell my hand to draw something with a pencil and have the results appear elsewhere, even though I do it constantly with a mouse. lol It eventually got shuffled away, and I'm pretty sure I lost it in one of my dozen moves throughout single life. At this point, I'm so comfortable working with a mouse that I don't think I'll probably pick up another tablet unless it's one with a built-in screen. It's hard to reach out of the comfort zone and get used to something new sometimes.
Anywho... have fun playing with your new design toy! Let me know how it goes, how you like it, etc.![]()
