    What are your inspiration hours?

Yes, that's exactly what I'm wondering about - when does the muse come to you?
I mean when does your designer's work appear to be the most productive?
For example most of my friends work most productively during the last night before the deadline.
Is it only them or all of the web designers are geeks like that? Are there any conscientious people left?

    I have my inspiration peak between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Add lots of coffee and prog rock...

Such a combination inspires me the most!

When i am showering the damp on the mirror is very inspirational to draw on.

Cycling when I don't have a mp3 on, my head get stuffed with idea along the way I cycle but mainly when I get home I forgot most of the ideas. Cause I think of something but after a while I think of something else and that happens allot of time. But sometimes if I need the idea it somehow triggers back.

Doing an A.N ( all nighter) just before the deadline is great cause of extreem stress and no one is online or awake home to bother you. With a headset on with hardrock to keep me awake and some dextro or redbull. But to do a presentation the otherday is pretty bad cause no sleep and wil forget allot of things to say. But mostly the stuff I show is inof to let them say ooh aaah wow.

Most productive time is when I should be asleep actually. 0:00 till 6:00.

I have two time periods when I am most able to conduct work to the best of my ability; right after I am assigned a job or right before it is due. There's something about that time in between when my brain simply doesn't function as strongly as it does during the other times. I always try to finish as much work as possible as early as possible, though..

I get most of my inspiration quite early in the morning. Sometimes I'll go to bed and wake up with an amazing idea that just can't wait.

As far as deadlines, I'm a procrastinator. If I start something too early, I end up tweaking it into crap by the time the deadline rolls around.

I find that im much like everyone else here. Find myself at the peak of my inspiration around the times of 10:00pm - 5:00am. I dont get much sleep on those days. Hah

Other then that, if im not up so late, i just doodle in between classes on my laptop, and sometimes i come up with somthing and sometimes i dont.

For the most part, if i find my inspiration, i wont top working untill it is complete. Min. amount of food, and drink. Till the next day. I get so sucked in.

I do my best work late night or mid morning... I'm not exactly a morning person... so I have to allow time to wake up

I'm definitely a night owl and a procrastinator. When I don't have to be at work I'm rarely up before 10 am, after a late night maybe noon.

But I don't have usually specific hours when I feel particularly inspired to work, I just have to be in the mood ( or have a looming deadline.) Then I'll get a project, go through the brainstorming process and getting through the first 100 ideas (which a usually tossed out). But once I'm over that wall I can work smoothly for hours, and if I get stuck or something I just take a break and do something else or get the hell away from my computer.

Most of the designers i know get out there creative juices in the morning, later afternoon they get tired and design "robotized".

I don't know how about others designers, but my inspiration appears when people pay money for the job, it's the best stimulation to work faster and harder

Lately, I've been waking up at random hours in the night (like 3 or 4am) and can't seem to fall back asleep. I find that I do my most productive work during those little bouts of insomnia.

I would have to say early morning seems to be the creative time for me but it depends on the medium I'm working with at the time. If I'm canvas painting then evening to 1 am seems to be my best painting times same with sculpting. My graphic designs/illustrations are the early morning times but.....if I have an idea that is screamimng to get out, any time is creative time
