1) www.smartflix.com
This site is a rental store similar to NetFlix, but for how to do anything from fly a plane, to build a sword, or use software. Many of their DVDs are hard to find and range from teaching specific task (like advanced masking for PS) to indepth and general instruction (such as the essentials of Flash, using Illustrator, or XHTML and so forth). Check it out! You can keep the DVDs for a week and send them back in their pre-paid postage and self-addressed envelopes. Very easy.
2) www.lynda.com
This is another instructional video site, only here you watch the videos online by subscribing monthly or yearly. This one is great because instruction on the newest programs are always available.
I'm currently using both. If you learn by seeing, hearing and doing (as opposed to the only other options: reading and magic) then these are two good places to go.
Hope this helps those looking to start from scratch or expand on what they know already.
Best,
Nicko
