Freehand...gone?
Not sure if I just havent been looking hard but...
Since Adobe bought out macromedia...does anyone notice that freehand is not there? Before CS3 I used both macromedia and adobe. I thought for sure they would keep freehand ... it boggles my mind why they did not keep freehand and they keep fireworks...

There are more things that they removed and applied there functions into other programs.
Even Image Ready is gone. And allot are complaining because Image ready got best slice feature for making webpages. And dont want to buy or learn fireworks.
Probably they want people to animate in Flash or fireworks. But allot like the Photoshop to Image ready process.

Design Premium everything I need. Master collection is way too much.
Yeah don't like the new illustrator color pallet the cs2 pallet got a better standard set in there.
Haven't explored dreamweaver and flash actually yet. Been only working with Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator mostly at the moment. The rest haven't seen the better side or worser side yet.
The new eraser tool in Illustrator sound cool just only not sure what way I could use it when I am making something.
I thought they would ad the Flash gradient tool into Illustrator because that one works much better then the one in Illustrator. Maybe in CS4 then.
Only thing I do like in new CS3 Illustrator is the open group layer. It actually same like flash open symbol layer/ scene. Could work better and direct instead of hiding all layers and then make them appear again.

I've used both Freehand and Illustrator, and actually preferred FH for a long time. But what did you expect? Why would Adobe support two vector-based illustration apps? Good riddence FH. As a long-time FH user, I now much prefer Illustrator.
