    Here is my result:
    http://vectormagic.stanford.edu/vctr...RBxe9&v=231128

I wanted a very simple vectorization, with just a few colors for rapid revectorization/customization. And i can say that this is far the best what i saw. It satisfied me more then LiveTrace or PowerTrace.

Its Basicly Running an vector engine simular to using the filter tools in Photoshop's Paint, or Smudge.

Its somthing that can be simply done by any graphic designer. But for somone who doesnt own the program themselves, it seems like an efficent way to vectorize and image.

I wouldnt really call it vectorizing and image, more so making it look like a painting.

Its vectorizing if you know what it is. Flash got a vectorizing tool and its way better then live trace from Illustrator. Also much easier to understand and the amount you want it to trace works better too. Only still its better to trace it your self with a pen tool cause they never give a perfect looking vector version of the picture.

The Condemned (2007) - Movie Review & Talk About

Im Well Aware of what vectorizing mean, it just seems more of a painting like vector to me then what kind of vector i usually see done

umm, its a vector image, its not painted......and, its INCREDIBLY done......I'd love to try this combined with touch up (done with pentool)..there are controls to tweak the vectorizng and outcome..
if you use live trace, there is no way to get this level of image...

    no problem...
my avatar is vector by me......vectoring an image is tedious work(well, at least for me, love the outcome, but all the work to get there...whew)....there are other threads here(inspiration area) about many vector 'masters'......the pen is first choice, but to have a program produce this level of results, is quite amazing....that is what we like to chat about, whats new, and this vector program is a buzz in many design communities...cause it is incredible

Ahh well then in that case, i see what you mean, i was just sayin what i said because the program doesnt produce a vector as good as what your avatar has.

I think it is very cool and saves some time, but unforunatly it looks like in somecases it may ruin a very sharp image (by the smudging and all) I don't know, it some cases it may look very cool...

    actually..

I thought it was pretty nifty. It takes a long time to do by hand what it does on its own. Thanks for sharing it!

this works much better than illustrator live trace and the setting is easier to make it to trace better.
