Have you ever ran into a Designers Block? Getting a feeling you just somehow don't want to design something or just can't.
What do you do to avoid it or to get out of one?

I get it alot, i usualy just take a nap or somthing and it for the most part goes away.
Or i just go eat, and do somthing that gets my blood pumping, so my brain flow is faster.

Yeah, I think it happens to everyone at some point. I get away from my computer and do something else for a bit, anything else, I just stop thinking about it and give myself a bit of a break. Exercise works for me too, a bit of yoga or an hour at the gym does the trick.
Yeah I know what you mean, I hate it. It seems like all creativity is totally gone, and everything you design looks like you just started with design. Many times I actually try and fight through it, but I end up wasting time. So, I try and just leave, go outside, sleep, something.

I like to immerse my self in how magazine.....I pull out past issues(I've suscribed for years(I have some ancient, 90s, issues).....I also look at inspiration books....
It's most frustrating when you've got a lack of time!
One suggestion is looking thru cool blogs or sites.
Here are a few:

I go to the grocery store. Seriously. Walk down a few of the aisles and check out the packaging. It's a great place for inspiration.![]()
I love to look at my competition. I always get ideas. It sounds like copying when i say it like that but not at all. I figure out how to be different than the ones i see. I also look at images related. I had to do a logo for a restaurant called forkers. I must of spent 8 hours looking at images of forks, google image is great for that.
that's really happens very often. Usually, I am dropping everuthing.. run a game and start to fight. From very beginning you fell that you are still thinking about that design.. and then.. when you realize - you don't think any more.. get back)) that works.. and you'll have a fresh eye on your job. 100% works for me.
I also look at design annuals or others portfolios to get inspired. Sometimes you'll see something that will spark an idea.
