    I will agree with some others that the new one has an interesting font. I am not a fan of the lens though. First off, the icon is not recognizable outside of the context of the text which the original logo did have like you have with something like the Apple or Windows logo.

    If I just saw that lens I would not give it a second thought.

    yeah, same here... canīt believe they use that as their logo. Itīs just a circle, no deeper meaning to it or what so ever. Print it with one colour, all you get is just a circle... When you see a swoosh you know itīs Nike, when you see a circle, youīre thinking: itīs a circle, now what...? So this circle cannot stand alone without the brand/name. Really bad...

    They could've at least shaped that circle like a typical lense from a pair of sunglasses. I wonder what their logic was that made them make it round...

    2012 horrors...

    yup....the font is pretty cool, but im guessing the typographer designed that....Im at a loss with the glass thing too....it looks more like a contact lens.

    Though Wolff Olins did the Orange logo which was little more than a black background and the word 'orange' in orange arial type centred. The thing was, the clients name was originally something like "Hutchinson telecommunication" ...a little long winded to say the least! So they re-branded the whole company. They did a good job in my opinion.Orange is one of the UK's most popular mobile phone brands now.

    They wrote a pretty neat book about brand identity / logo design that i read a few years ago. Its a pretty good read if your like to design logos.
    I do hate the 2012 logo though...what were they thinking??

    Im not a big fan of the whole design. If anything has to change though it is the supposed lens.
