This is where a designer's knowledge of pyschology comes in

To limit yourself to a favorite color scheme is gonna hurt ya. Sure, my favorite colors are aqua, grey and black but if I'm working on a design involving food...those are in no way psychologically linked to nature. And I tried this the other day....try naming 2 or 3 foods that are blue or grey or black...kinda hard. A different scheme is needed to arouse a person's appetite. Likewise, browns and other "earthy" tones are left out of medical designs because they don't come across as sterile and clean

i really agree with guyshifty1979 ..it's hard to stick to the same colors in different designs that represents different things.
may be in general i kinda tend to use turquoise, brown or orange shades.(not all together) but of course these colors doesn't work for everything.., still my favorites in designs.

I prefer blue. But in logo design especially, color is an important component, so every project has its color choice, depending on different factors, so I use the color most suited for the project.
