It usually depends for what type of design. But most of the time I go for bright colors like Light Blues, Redish Pink, Teal, Brown, and red. Whenever I need help coming up with a color scheme I like looking at 3d objects they contain a lot of depth and colors in them.

If you look at examples of my work here:

    http://www.cttemplates.com/portfolio.htm

You will notice that I prefer strong colors, usually dark ones.

However, when things are going wrong, I tend to use pastels.

I like to design with Oranges and Blues.. but the project usually dictates what colors work best. If I had my choice Oranges and Blues, definitely.

    Many Thanks

I'm partial to light designs with blue as the primary color, however I believe design is not about whch color you like, but rather which color is suitable to the client's needs. I like to think that I can work with all colors and like them if they give my concepts a strong impact.

My ultimate is black and white which is what I work with when drawing by hand and when planning a digital design.
Sometimes I add in colours when necessary and usually keep it to a simple range, typically pulling colours out of my street art: blues, greens, purples, pinks.

Thanks for the link, by the way. Consider it bookmarked.
Honey, I got rhythm that I haven't used yet.
