    woman in distress

i am not really sure the best way to turn my drawing into a vector image.
should i do in photoshop? i heard illustrator cs3 has cool feature to trace
but i cant figure it out. suppose i have a line drawing of a fish, i scan it in, then what. can someone tell me how they do it please, it would be most helpful. i have traced in illustrator before, but i just use pen tool and put points everywhere on the lines., but it rarely comes out smooth and takes forever.

Live trace in not clean in of compared to using the pen tool. Do you know how to use the bezier handles to make the curves.

Because it sound like your just putting anchor points with no beziers for curves.

i know how to do that, cant you trace it first then tweak it, so you dont have to go through and add so many points. i will watch that tutorial, thank you. i tried to correct the misspelling in the title, i forgot the r in distress, how to i fix? only allows me to fix the body of text.

The thing about pen tool is that you really have to know how to use it appropriately. If you do, then you will get the absolute best results.

Maybe you should just use "freehand" and re-draw ?
