I need Help again but with a diffrent thing!

Ok so ive been working on my new portfolio design, and i have my pages done in HTML, i notice though my load time is horribly slow. Does anyone here know how i can cut that loading time down dramaticly?

    1. get rid of any textual graphics. i.e. "view portfolio"
    2. how did you design your site? from the looks of it, I'd almost say that it appears you created in a graphics program and then exported as an html page? I base this on the fact that appears to contain blank/empty graphics that are sized in ways to 'make the layout work'.
    3. I'd also lose the iFrame as it serves no purpose. you could have just as easily made all the images as one big image, make it the background, and have the text (that is in the iframe) positioned properly over the background image.

    4. you used tables for a layout. IMHO, this is a big no, no. use css and xhtml for layout design. tables are for tabular data.

    5. for further reading: www.alistapart.com, www.csszendesign.com, www.csszengarden.com, and there are thousands of other sites to help you out. use google to find them.

I forgot to add that your portfolio page is an entirely different layout than your main page, colors and all. this will greatly confuse viewers as they may even think that they were taken to a new website. consistency is one of the key elements of web design.

just take it slow. learning takes time. visit css/xhtml web galleries and view the source pages of the simpler, but nicely designed sites. trace the html and the css files. you'll learn a lot.

    hope this helps.

Use less picture thats the tip. Make use of table background color and other stuff. Make the picture of parts smaller that are repeated instead of 1 big picture. Don't use picture for titles just use normal plain text. Make every page use the same pictures cause I see everypage need to reload the pictures again while there are all the same.

    Hi,

I would like to help you, but I still can not get into your portfolio. All I'm getting is an index page. Please send me another way to link in.
