Photo Matix

I'm thinking about purchasing the PhotoMatix program for my studio or at least sharing a license with another photographer.

But I'd like to first know more about the technical background of the program as well as some user feedback.

The reason I'm posting this here, in addition to actively searching other resources is that I'm looking for other designers' perspectives on the differences between using a program such as Photo Matix versus Photoshop CS3 (particularly the new stitching feature).

If anyone has some good links, even to some tutorials, post post post em!

I haven't tried CS3, but i love photomatix for merging the bracketed camera shoot.. especially if you want to blow up the sharpness and colour.. and i tried to use them for getting silverish/goldish skin tone.. it's really nice.. don't know if this could help..
