    Post Weapon of choice?

Call it sketching, brainstorming or just doodling, most if not all of us rough out ideas on paper before going to 'la macchina'.

But what do you prefer to use when hewing out your creations?
Pencils (No.2 or otherwise), pens, markers?
Do you use something special or whatever happens to be handy?

Myself I usually just use a pen (Parker Jotter) on grid paper when sketching out logos and such, although I don't mind a nice felt tip marker at times (Identi-Pen makes a fairly useful dual point).

What about everyone else? Special paper? Special drawing tool?

Fine, blank white paper with either a Uniball Vision Elite (0.8mm or 0.5mm) or an Artline (0.4mm or 0.2mm).

But, yeah...I could generally use anything, with pleasure. Inky black on whiteness is just a favourite.
Honey, I got rhythm that I haven't used yet.

A good Bic pen or staedtler 0,05mm fineliner. All sketches are black white or blue white. Non colored so you know they look good without colors too. And a blackbook and extra when i forget it I got few sheets of paper in my wallet.

i use staedtler mars professional design pen 0.5 mm thick and normal sketch pad. i do every design in two versions. one pure black and white, and one colored version. it helps me a lot to understand my design.

Depending on my mood, I will either pull out my Intuos3 pad and use Painter or I will pull out my old Drawing I sketchbook and pencils/markers. I also have a sketch notebook I used on some of my Typography class projects I sometimes use when I need to sketch and think a design out.

Am I the only one that's not a fan of sketching, I usually am much quicker just throwing a few shapes on illistrator and working till I get my first idea. But maybe that's why i'm still poor.

I am not good at drawing on paper. I'd rather do all my stuff on the computer. So my weapon of choice is my wacom pen tablet. Does that count?
