Hey, I just bought a Wacom Tablet (Insert model number here... I forget because I'm not sitting in front of it right now... can tell you later) 6 x 8.
I've had it for about a week now and I've been doing more stuff than ever. I'm really pleased with it. Then again, I never tested any other tablet/pen.

Oh... i just realized that you weren't talking about tablets. You're talking about digital pens... I had to look them up on the internet to realize there was a difference.
I guess I'm a couple steps behind in the graphic design world.

When I decided to get a tablet, I wasn't sure which one to buy also. I found out about Wacom, but it seemed kinda expensive. So I looked up for other brands, like Genius or Trust, but in my research on the internet I found out that they weren't as reliable as Wacom. So, in this regard, reliability seems to be the main feature of the Wacom brand.
So I bought a Wacom Graphire 4. At first I thought the surface it's not enough, but as I started using it, it was more than enough. So I strongly recommend Wacom, but the actual model, it's up to your budget and needs.
Good luck !
