Definately an interesting read, I've seen that tactic growing increasingly to the extreme point where a websites sole purpose was to provide text link backs to at least a hundred or more sites; I'm sure they got some come-back from it finacially.

lol.i had a few pages i made using targeted wordlists like 150kb worth of text each,pulled an all nighter just linking the words up to relevant sites.got flooded with google users for a bit...they eventually caught on .those pages are dead now (go0ooglewise).but if you dont abuse it like me im sure it works out well.
