A magazine is a great idea!
At HOWDesign.com they do something called a 'howiezine'. There is a different theme every time, and the designers submit art under that. It's a different set up then this magazine, but a theme might still be something to consider. Here is the link for that:link
If not for the whole magazine, maybe several themes for different submissions, or something like that.
Anyways, let me know if I can help at all.
Thank you MissUnderstood for your suggestion!
You can definitely help...what area do you think you could contribute most to?
Hi,
I could help in quite a few ways....I'm most interested in the layout/design....but you probably have most of that together already.I could help in other ways too; I wouldn't mind doing some of the research (finding articles and other things of interest) Marketing is also something I can do. I understand how to spot trends, and find buttons for promoting. If you want you can pm me.
-surprised more people aren't talking about this!
I think this is a great idea! I'd definitely like to submit an article or two.![]()
Great a_mahstudios!
We look forward to seeing your article(s)! May I ask which category you might contribute to?
I can write an article as well .... I would just need to know what the mian focus of the magazine is.... what kind of articles exactly are we looking for? Once I know this I can write my first....
Thanks
Nate
Ok, so where do people send the contribution?
1. Is there one email address or they post attachments here?
2. Should the articles of contributions sent to the Editors directly?
Just curious to know how are we organising ourselves![]()
Great question!
As I was replying, I gave it more thought.
The first post in this thread has been edited with the details you may be looking for.

About how long would you like the Articles? (# of words, or # of pages)
Since the magazine is only online for now, the length of the article is up to the contributor. I wouldn't imagine too many people writing novels, though.![]()

Hia_mahstudios,
If you are aiming to write a tutorial or an educaational article, let me know your thoughts and we can discuss.
The contribution process has been specified in this thread:
http://www.designcontest.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=4455
The articles haave to be PMed to the respective Editors.
Let me know if you have specific quesetions related to Education section.
i love the idea of our magazine, now ideally i should be sayin - any help needed i m ready- but the lack of talent n skill kinda pins me down, so right now i can jus b a part of this forum n give my whole hearted support, n if anything tht seems interestin idea relatin to the mag comes to my mind i ll post it here...
till then all the best to everyone!
looking forward to reading this![]()
I think it could be useful and intresting topic for magazine if designers post tips about the creative process, since we recieve the brief, until the moment when we finally work on final art.
Brief - information - brain storming - finding codes of communications - resources - sketch - final art - etc.
Each graphic designer has his own way to work, would be nice to share - to improve.
That's a great idea, mundosanto!
Perhaps you could work on an article for the next issue?
I would be really pleased about share information, please let me know how could I post article and dead line to recieve it.
I will start work on it right now! and if I could collaborate with something else, please dont hesitate to ask for it.
This site is great!
