Current work is a mix of local youth sports leagues, college and professional sports from baseball, lacrosse, soccer, football, motorsports, and golf. We also specialize in corporate events. We shoot game/action photos as well as portraits of athletes.

Comments: We are looking for a clean, dynamic, and contemporary logo design that will convey action, excitement, and above all experience and professionalism. A sense of professionalism is imperative since we do freelance for the professional sports and corporate business markets.

The logo must include an easily identifiable, unique, and dynamic graphic element/icon which can easily stand by itself when necessary. Overall the logo must reproduce equally well in color or black and white and work for print, silk screening, and embroidery. In addition to the graphic element/icon the logo must include the company name: 'PhotoFX Pros', 'Photography', and although not necessary, if it can be made to work the following 3 words: 'sports', 'action', 'special events'.

Thank you for your submission. I do like the overall feel of your design. Two things do jump out at me though: the small arc within the circle (I'm assuming it's supposed to give the impression of a lens?), it looks a bit out of place, more so in the b/w version. My second issue is with the torso, it seems to just be hanging there, somewhat cut-off. Just looking at the graphical element by itself, the way in which the runner is in relation to the circle, it does also remind me of those traffic signs (red circle with line through it). I realize that the figure is running and that the arms may not be in the frame under those circumstances but it just looks a bit off or odd to me.

I do however like the overall dynamic feel to your design. The text is much more prevalent and pronounced than in my current logo. Look forward to revisions.

First of all, thank you for your submission. At first glance I do like the overall concept. The rectangular format certainly would make it much easier to use across a number of different marketing materials. I also like the prominence of the "FX" although I do feel that the "X" is obscured a bit too much in this case. I'm not completely sold on the choice of colors but would probably at least prefer the "FX" in this case to be red. By choosing red for "Photo" and making it a bit larger it does feel a little top heavy to me. More importantly the name of the company is "PhotoFX Pros". You have omitted the "Pros" which is necessary.

Overall I think that it's a good first submission but certainly needs reworked. I again appreciate you taking the time to submit you first concept. I look forward to your revisions.

Again while I do like the overall concept, I'm just not sure it has the professional feel or polish of a high-end, professional photography company. The layout is much better as well as the prominence of the "FX" but I'm not sure it would convey the message we are seeking. Sorry to be somewhat obtuse in my comments. I will look over some more and see if I can be more specific.

Thank you for your submission. The overall design does seem to capture the contemporary and dynamic feel we are going for. I think it works pretty well in color but when converted to black and white, it does fall somewhat flat. The graphic element seems to be somewhat disjointed from the rest of the logo when viewed as b/w. I am also looking for a graphical element that, if used by itself, will still be easily recognizable and associated with my company.

I do really like you choice of fonts for the company name though. I look forward to further revisions/ideas you may have. Thank you.

Dragonfly, thank you so much for your submission. Unfortunately I just do not like the design. The crest shape with the camera just looks a bit dated to me. I just don't feel that it conveys the message that we are an experienced, dynamic photography company that specializes in sports, action, and corporate work. Thank you for your submission and I welcome any other ideas or concepts you may have.
