Colors: no pink, no red & blue combination

Comments: This is the first year for the MAC Dash scheduled for 9/6/08. It is a pool-based sprint triathlon centered at the Madras Aquatic Center (MAC). It includes a 500 yard swim, 12 mile bike and a 3 mile run. Athletes may participate as individuals or relay-teams. Madras is a small, rural town in Central Oregon of just over 5000 people. It is located in high-desert with 9 snow-peaked mountains to the west and rolling hills to the east. It boasts 300 days of sunshine and 4 seasons. Athletes will view the mountains and hills from all 3 legs of the race. The Madras Aquatic Center is a premier facility that opened in January, 2008. The MAC Dash will benefit the Aquatic Center, specifically youth programming. Visit http://madraschamber.com/ for pictures of the Madras area and a link to the Madras Aquatic Center site.

The logo should be clean, simple and bright. It will be utilized on clothing, posters, brochures, banners and a web-site. Only 2-3 colors should be used to minimize printing costs. Suggestions: 1. Snow-peaked mountain with swimmer, biker and runner going by. 2. The bike route passes a round-about with large, metal grizzly bears 3 times. A logo utilizing a grizzly bear or cute bear theme. 3. MAC DASH in bold type with a swimmer going through the 'MAC', a biker riding over the 'D' and a runner exiting under the 'H'.

Our group really likes your design. Couple things. Could the "dash" be darker? It would get lost on a white or gray T-shirt. Could you add a "2008"? We would like the logo to stand with or without the "2008". Thanks.
