    Project Art - $225 - June 15th

    Forum Username: robfere

Company Details: Name of the company is called Project Art. We are a manufacturer of women's shoes, handbags, accessories (wallets, belts. key pouch) that use digital fine art images on our products.

    Type Of Contest: Logo Design

    Contest Title: PROJECT ART

    Contest Deadline: JUNE 15TH 2009

    Prize Amount: $225.00

Colors To Be Used: Like the colors of the NBC peacock and the old Apple logo with the color strips creating the Apple. Stay in the primary color range - of blue, green, yellow, reds. Can use offshoots of those colors - I would tend not to go too dark - and stay brighter.

The product is a fashion product and I would like the logo to look modern but geared to a more sophisticated woman. It is not a Junior product. I liked lower case futura/tahoma type fonts but I do not know that much about what fonts are available.

Do you happen to have any example photos of your fashion products? While I have no intention of designing a logo that looks specifically like one of your handbags, shoes, etc., it may prove to provide some inspiration and give us a better idea of the particular style portrayed through your products.

    Thanks.

    Refine concept and product

I have attached one product. As far as the logo - as far as color direction I encourage people to use their own imagination in creating a logo.

Regarding the name itself - I would like it to read "projectart" one word in lower case. I will follow up with an attachment of the logo font we liked. Again, I want the designers to interpret the concept as best they see it. We like the type because it was modern.

    Thanks.

font type we liked because it is clean and modern

This was Tahoma Bold. We liked Futura, but again we do not know anything about this process.

obviously considering you are asking us to make you a logo for your company for 200 dollars.

You get what you pay for..

    This is a start up.

First the quote is $225.00 I know nothing about this process and possibly I might not get something that we like or can use.
I already spent several hundred dollars on a graphics person who was highly recommended and we were unable to use any of her concepts.
Everyone needs to make their own decision as to what is worth our personal while. Thanks.

    I like the initial concept

I like the top font though I would eliminate the dot over the "j." The color concept is on the right track and I like the colors.

My first entry. Something I feel would be appealing to women within this demographic

    projectart

For the look, I liked your first concept more than the second.
I actually like the white on black, though I probably would like to see the first font done in black and see how it looks.

Regarding the illustration - if you took your concept of the first illustration and created all colors in brush strokes rather than just the two colors. Also if you could have those brush strokes create a shoe or handbag shape, I think that would give the message of what products this brand makes.

    I'm thoroughly confused.
Was the feedback for me or onesummer?

I apologize because I thought they were both sent by the same person.

Your design incorporates many of the elements I mentioned I was looking for. It is a bit more delicate than what I had envisioned, though that may not be a bad thing. The colors are good for the illustration, but the butterfly feels a bit generic and does not really seem to give a sense of the product.

I also would prefer to have a single font for the logo.

I do hope that you will give this another go.

Neither of the designs appeal to me. The colors are good, but it doesn't say anything about the product. I do not like the way the font and construction of it either. I am looking for the project art to be written as one work:
    projectart.
