geek - I'm surprised that it took this long before anyone took a stab at what I originally wanted to see...an R that is easily distiguished as being derived from a martial arts black belt! Having said that, I'm not real thrilled with this particular "R". Try taking a look at how the martial arts actually "tie their knot"...it is very specific and not as bulky. I sure wish others would take a stab at doing this type of thing! Also...I was hoping to see more work along the line of your v1.0 design as well...really liked the circular/round format.
Another note to ALL:
I like the a lot of the designs that I see here. ...and we will select a winner. I know that if enough effort and attempts were made at the R that geek most recently submitted...or the circular/round logo (also submitted earlier by geek)...that I would find one that just JUMPED off the page at me and SCREAMED that THIS IS THE ONE. As it is, I am seeing a lot of good and deserving efforts and am confident that will find something that we will use. Maybe our expectations are just too high...or your creativity needs to be explored in various areas prior to working the R's and the Rounds...or each contestent needs to be allowed more submissions. ...again, and I don't want to come off sounding the wrong way...there is some great work here. We are still hoping to see that SPECIAL something that we haven't seen so far.

Thanks for your comments. Here's my revision along the line of version 1 using the belt of version 2.
...and here's my best entry that represents what you have requested to see. Thank you.
My concept with easily changeable color scheme. Look forward to your feedback, thanks.

Hello BBR,
Here's a different take on the martial arts theme. I went with a loose abstract character to define the R. The ring is representative of the belt and would change color according to the degree of achievement as would the word BELT. Any constructive feedback is welcomed. Look forward to your response.

Dongerz - Thank you for the entry! The abract character in the R is readily identifiable...and is catchy and fresh. Not sure I like the extra 'splashes'...almost looks graphically violent. Look forward to seeing this put together in a Red Belt & Green Belt presentation. You may be onto something!![]()
baiskee - thank you for your entries! We like v1.0, as-is. ...but for v2.0 - we like the concept...alot. for revisions on v2.0, we offer the following comments...We like the text from v1.0 better...and the top half of the belt is sweet...but the bottom (the tails) almost look like legs. [though I guess a good logo should be capable of 'standing on its own']. keep the red and the blue...but change the other color to a green that meets with our earlier comments. ...and THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
Thank you for the direction. Here's the revised version 3.
I also show some variation of the belt ranking and i works as a perfect badge too.
