    Hi Orioncarrier,
Here is the revision you asked for. I am showing you 3 options:
    a. The current version with a clean san-serif font
    b. Using an italicized serif font, but keeping "Properties, LLC" the same san-serif font
    c. The whole company name has been changed to the serif font, but "Properties, LLC" remains un-italicized

Let me know if you would like to see any more revisions, changes, etc.

    first entry

    Hi orioncarrier,

for my first entry (ever!) I attempted to work directly from your design brief to develop the logo I visualize from your description. I look forward to hearing your feedback.

    Thanks

Interesing. I like the italic font better as far as just a font, but I think the first font goes better with the design. Much more striking. What do you think?

Hello, Smack. Welcome to the contest, and congratulations on your first (ever) entry! It's quite nice. I like the concept of the 'Share" being a different colour on your particular design, and how the line gradually fades to the right. Nice touch.

By way of feedback, I think if I were going to go with this design, I would make the "properties llc" much smaller and to the right, as rockstarneil has done in his. Also, the arrow on the left is thin enough it reminds me of submarine view thingy sticking up out of the water--sorry I can't remember what they're called. As far as the colour goes, do you also notice that rockstarneil's choice of aqua colour is much "clearer" (ie, icy aqua), and yours is much murkier? Just a personal taste thing, and I suppose ice in real life can be dirty, but that's what I mean by "icy".

Otherwise, it's definitely an interesting design.

    Hi Orioncarrier,

I think overall that serif fonts (the italicized one used in examples b. and c.) work much better with logos that are curvy and organic because that is the typical shape and style of those fonts. The logo I've created for you here is clean and straight-edged which is why it looks better with the sans-serif font used in example a.

Here are a few more font variations for you to consider. Here I've used italicized versions of a couple sans-serif fonts, and 2 different slab-serif fonts that are still clean and straight-edged but slightly more stylistic.

Let me know what you think!

Wow. Thanks for the thoughtful ideas. It's become a little like smelling perfumes. After the first three, you lose the ability to tell the difference. I keep changing my mind.

I think I'll ask a friend or two and see what they think. Thanks for the selection!

Thanks for the positive feedback. I reduced "properties LLC" to align to "Profit" and separated the horizontal line (and adding another) from the arrow, so now it doesn't look like a periscope. I also cleaned up the murky aqua. Let me know what you think.

    another version

I also wanted to show you a version with the arrow/house using an open door concept. I think by taking out the window and adding the door the images and message becomes clearer. What do you think?

Wow, that's looking a lot nicer. The house is a little tall and skinny, I would say, and ends up looking a bit like a chimney. But I like how the Properties LLC ends the line on this design. I kind of like the navy with the aqua rather than black or gray, though...

Sorry, didn't notice your last post before I posted my previous answer. Yes, I like the one without the windows better, as the windows somehow reminded me of an exhaust vent, though once again, the house is a little tall and skinny, all but losing the idea of being a house. I'm curious how it would look with the arrow somewhat shorter, and ever so slightly slanted to the right?

    Hey rockstarneil,

I just had an idle curiosity. Knowing nothing about graphics, I don't know if this would be hard to do, but I am curious how the first italicized, san-serif version would look with arrows/houses that are slightly slanted to the right. Maybe I'll see it and gag, but I am curious, if it can be done...

I widened the arrow/house and gave the logo a dynamic skew to the right. I also changed the gray to navy.

Wow, that was fast. Thank you rockstarneil!

Actually, that doesn't look bad at all. I am wondering how it would look if the "properties llc" were moved up to terminate the line, similar to what smack has done on his.

    Thanks again!

Wow. Now that's starting to look interesting. I still would like to see the arrow/house lower... and maybe fatter. I am wondering if the design would also look less busy with the top line removed... I hadn't envisioned the bottom line in the darker colour, but that actually doesn't look bad.

It's hard for me to foresee the results of my suggestions, but those are my thoughts. Thank you!

    Thanks a lot, Rockstarneil.

I think I like the previous one better. It was good to see though. I think it's between that one and the original one I said I liked now.
