Hi Daphne,

Thanks for entering. I like the concept here. It has a relationship to the Nine Little Months logo but it is not an exact copy of the 9 - I really like the use of turning the 9 into arms of a figure. And I like the figure cradling a planet, very motherly and the imagery reflects a planet.
Some thoughts:
I wonder if the logo (9 person) could be a little bigger, it seems dwarfed by the words.
I also wonder if the tail of the 9 could be extended a little rather than creating such a tight hug...it seems a little closed or something?
Also, I know that I want a logo that can be used for the other sites (and therefore I think that's why the head of the figure is so ambiguous), I assumed i would get a slight redesign for each site...so is there a way that you can make the head of the 9 figure somewhat more feminine?
And I wonder what it would look like if the words were stacked? I think that the Moms For a Healthy Planet is too wide? Perhaps though if the logo were bigger the width of the title would look less of an issue?

i didn't know that you would want to use the same logo of the 'nine months' and redo it for a new one... i followed your brief that it should be relative to nine months, but didn't know that you would want to use the 'same' logo that u have there, but tweak it.
do want us to go on that direction?... 'coz i have done an eco-feelin logos which is relative to your icon, that's what i understand.... u also said

I also would like the "Moms for a Healthy Planet" text to be more incorporated into the logo - rather than just sitting beneath

but u liking the texts, which is just plain placed. Hope you give us more cleaner brief...so I could revised my entry well. thanks.

I am sorry if my brief was not clear. I did ask for something that was related to the Nine Little Months logo - by that I mean that I would like something that is visually similar to the logo at Nine Little Months (NLM). It doesn't have to use the same logo, but I would like it if people could see that the two companies are related by looking at the logo's. So if that translates to using the same font or the same colors or some aspect of the logo...all of those would be fine....and any other ideas might be fine too.
I am wondering if the leaf in your design is from the logo in NLM? If so, I am really sorry but I did not see any relation between the two logo's - and if I can't see it when I am looking for it then I couldn't expect anyone else to see the similarities. I hope that clarifies this aspect of your post? Please let me know if I have still not been clear enough.

And you are right that I have not been clear about the name being more integrated with the logo. I did say to you that I wanted it more integrated and then said that I liked the entry from Daphne and Coy. I think that to be clear I can say that I am fine with the name of "Moms For a Healthy Planet" being text under the logo.

I think that part of the improvement in your logo design might be that the current logo entry could be a logo for any 'green' company. It does not reflect planet or mother - though it is obviously very lush and green - suggesting health.

I hope that helps Robyn. I do want to make sure that I am clear and I am really glad that you asked for clarification. If there is anything else that I can do to help clarify, please let me know.

Thanks for your entry. I like the use of the 9 to wrap around the globe, and I like the text style of the "Moms for a Healthy Planet". I am not too sure of the colors though...the pink doesn't seem connected to the rest of the logo somehow. When I first looked at the logo I didn't realize what the pink element represented. I think that the lines are somewhat harsh also - e.g. the blue line around the globe.
Would love to see another edition of this logo. If I can help with answering any questions you have before you redesign please just let me know.

Thank you for the great feedback. At this point I'm at a block for any questions which is odd for me. LOL.
I've made the lines to be more like your ninemonths image and swaped out the pink for green. to get some feedback on the lines more or less.
At this point I'm trying to intigrate a more femanin/motherly image that works with the globe/leaf.
I'm a fan of more line art type of images when I think of portraing motherly or femanin images. so I'm working with that at the moment.
So I'll have another revision later today, early tomorrow.

Thanks for submitting another entry. I like them, but I don't think that they are quite what I am looking for. I am not sure that I like the bold red color, and I am looking for something that looks a little more sophisticated (I think that you were maybe going for a more cute look). I am not sure how to provide any additional direction, but if you have any further ideas, I am open .

Thanks for your submissions. Again I like your work, but I am looking for something with a little more sophistication (I think that perhaps you too were going for a different look). The lines are certainly not so harsh, but the squiggly line is not working for me. As with Robyn, I am not sure what to suggest....if you have questions that might help you find a different direction please just let me know. Thanks!

I love the direction this is going. Here are my comments:

I think that there is too much conflict right now between detail and broad graphic shapes and I prefer the broad graphic stuff better (as in the Nine). The main example of this is the detail in the planet versus the wood-carved feel of the 9/leaf. I am thinking that the continents could be represented by simple shapes, rather than having all the coastline detail. Also, on the planet I think that the outer edge of the planet could be defined by the outer edge of the continents rather than being wrapped by color (as it is now).

I would like to see a different treatment of color where the arms, leaf and face are the same color as the green from Nine Little Months logo. In terms of color I like your first logo submission (it seems closer to the Nine Little Months?), though I don't like the red ocean in either submission.

I would like to do more with the hair to communicate that this is a woman and I wonder if you have any suggestions? I am thinking perhaps you could just add one hair flick on either side (not sure if you know what I mean)?
