The logo is for Moms for a Healthy Planet.com. You can visit this website now to see it's content. The website and current logo are dated and I am looking to get a new fresh image. This non-profit organization is affiliated with another website Gently Used Maternity Clothes ~ NineLittleMonths.com ~ Coming Soon ~ (this company's logo was designed in another competition on this site), and so if there could be some reflection of this affiliation in the logo for 'Moms For a Healthy Planet' that would be great - perhaps the logo has some similar aspects or uses similar colors or something? Some words that I would like the logo to reflect (in no particular order) are: recycling, reuse, healthy planet, 'green', moms, nurturing.

In addition to the above, I have the url's to expand the healthyplanet websites at a later date to include other members of the family such as dad's, kids etc. Each website would be specifically targeted at each member of the family. So the kids site would be directed to kids and the dads site to dads etc.

So, I would like a logo that would be adaptable to a family of Healthy Planet websites, as well as showing a connection with Nine Little Months.

Also, I forgot to mention that I encourage you to ask me questions if I have not been clear or you need some direction - thanks.

Hi Robyn,

Thanks for your entry. I like the fact that you have tried to incorporate the name into the logo - I know that the name is long and that is hard to do. I am not too keen on the logo though. It seems very busy; the main 'character' holding the planet seems unhappy, and that's not an image that I would like in the logo; and I am not too keen on the colors as they are perhaps too bright or contribute to the busy-ness. I am also not sure how this logo relates to the Nine Little Months logo or how this logo might be extended to other family member websites (www.dadsforahealthyplanet.com for example). I am not asking anyone to design the other logo's - but an idea of how this logo might get extended would be great.
I would love to see any other ideas that you might have.

Hi Robyn,

Thanks for your second entry. I definitely like this better than your first entry, however, I still don't see any relationship to the Nine Little Months logo. I am also not sure about the shape that the representative people make - it looks like a 'u' or a 'v' and I wonder if that will confuse people a little? I also would like the "Moms for a Healthy Planet" text to be more incorporated into the logo - rather than just sitting beneath - I do know that this may be asking too much though.
I like the simplified leaf background and the general shape of the logo.

Is there a reason why no-one else is entering?? I love that Robyn is putting in so much effort, but I would love to see some other designers enter the competition . Please can you (the designers) let me know if there is anything that I can do to encourage more entries by other people?

Thanks for all your efforts Robyn, but I don't think this is going in the right direction. There is still no relationship to the Nine Little Months logo, and the design is just not feeling right. I don't know how to explain it except that it feels very hard, not a soft image. Not very motherly perhaps?
I don't know how else to describe what is missing. Perhaps if you have some questions on some ideas you might have on how you might change it, I cna help with some direction?

Hi Jopicasso,

Thanks for both your entries. I am excited by both of them, and i like the concept but I feel that the imagery of the woman is too quaint or cutesie. I don't know that a lot of women could relate to this image. I don't know how you could change it though because we don't want a really uncute mother in the logo.
Neither of the logo submissions have a feel of the Nine Little Months logo and I really would like some (even subtle) relationship.
I am also not sure how this logo could be developed into a site for dads or kids?
